Ingredients
Method
Heat the Mixture
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine whole milk, granulated sugar, and cocoa powder. Whisk continuously until the mixture is hot and steaming but not boiling, about 5-7 minutes.
- Stir constantly to prevent scorching. Keep the heat moderate, and immediately turn it down if it starts to boil.
Add the Chocolates
- Stir in the chopped milk chocolate and dark chocolate. Whisk until fully melted and smooth, about 1-2 minutes.
- Avoid boiling the mixture after adding the chocolate to prevent graininess.
Finish with Flavor
- Remove from heat, then stir in the vanilla extract and bourbon (adjust to taste).
Serve
- Pour the hot chocolate into heat-safe mugs. Top with mini marshmallows and sprinkle chocolate curls on top.
- Serve immediately and enjoy every warm sip!
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. You can reheat gently on the stove or in the microwave. Adjust sweetness or creaminess as desired.
