For the Sauce
  • ½ cup unsalted butter Go for high-quality butter for the best flavor.
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic is best; jarred can be used in a pinch.
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning Any reputable brand will work; Tony Chachere's is recommended.
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika Add warmth; regular paprika can be substituted.
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper Optional; adjust to taste for heat.
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder Deepens flavor without overpowering.
  • ½ teaspoon salt Adjust to taste.
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper Freshly ground enhances flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce Adds acidity to balance richness.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Freshly squeezed is best.
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped Adds color and a refreshing finish.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over low heat until fully liquid but not browned.
  2. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds, stirring constantly until fragrant.
  3. Stir in Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, cayenne (if using), onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Blend together for about 30 seconds.
  4. Add Worcestershire sauce and lemon juice, stirring to combine, and let simmer for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and garnish with fresh parsley. Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.
  6. Serve immediately over seafood, steak, pasta, or as a dipping sauce.

Notes

For make-ahead, store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. Reheat gently before serving. Don't rush the garlic sautéing process to avoid burning.
