Ingredients

Vegetables

  • 1/2 cup red onion, diced Can substitute with green onions for a milder flavor.
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved Sweet heirloom varieties can add a unique touch!

  • 1/3 cup green onions, sliced A mix of green and white parts adds depth of flavor.
Other Ingredients
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese Sharp cheddar works beautifully here!
  • 1/3 cup bacon bits Turkey bacon can be used for a lighter option.

Notes

This salad is best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days. Consider holding off on adding crunchy components like bacon until right before serving.
