Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 1 pound chicken breast Look for organic or free-range for the best flavor
  • 4 pieces sandwich buns Brioche or ciabatta preferred for a buttery richness
  • 2 tablespoons butter Unsalted for better control of salt levels
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil Extra virgin recommended
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic makes all the difference
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning For that extra hint of flair
  • Salt To taste
  • Black pepper To taste
  • 1/3 cup Caesar dressing Homemade or your favorite brand, Annie’s or Kraft recommended
  • 1 cup romaine lettuce, chopped Use baby romaine for a fancier touch
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese Freshly grated is always best
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped For a touch of freshness

Method

Preparation
  1. Begin by seasoning the chicken breast generously with Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the seasoned chicken and cook for about 6 to 8 minutes per side until golden brown and the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  3. Transfer the chicken to a cutting board and let it rest for a few minutes before slicing it thinly.
  4. In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium-low and melt the butter. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant but not browned.
  5. Return the sliced chicken to the skillet and toss it in the garlic butter until thoroughly coated.
  6. Lightly toast the sandwich buns to get that perfect crisp.
  7. Spread the Caesar dressing on the cut sides of each bun, layer with garlic butter chicken, romaine lettuce, and a sprinkle of grated Parmesan, then top with the other bun halves.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately while warm.

Notes

For best texture, do not rush the resting time for the chicken; it’s essential for juicy meat. Toasting the buns enhances texture.
