For the Honey Garlic Sauce
  • 1 pound Kielbasa sausage, sliced Opt for a high-quality brand for the best flavor.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Use extra virgin for robust flavor.
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic is a must!
  • 3 tablespoons honey Choose pure honey for best quality.
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce Tamari is a gluten-free alternative.
For the Vegetables
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, sliced Adds great crunch.
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, sliced Provides a slightly bitter contrast.
  • 1 medium onion, sliced Choose a sweet onion for milder flavor.
  • 2 cups broccoli florets Fresh or frozen, thaw frozen ones.
  • Salt and black pepper to taste Adjust to enhance personal flavor preferences.

Method

Make the Sauce
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic until smooth. Set aside.
Sizzle Up the Kielbasa
  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once shimmering, add the sliced kielbasa. Cook for about 3 to 4 minutes on each side until lightly browned.
  2. Tip: Keep an eye on the pan to avoid burning—turn the slices as needed for even browning.
Add the Veggies
  1. Add the sliced bell peppers, onion, and broccoli to the skillet. Cook for about 5 to 7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are tender yet still bright.
  2. Visual Cue: The veggies should be vibrant and crisp.
Combine it All
  1. Pour the honey garlic mixture over the kielbasa and vegetables, stirring to coat everything evenly. Allow it to simmer for about 2 minutes to thicken.
Season & Serve
  1. Season with salt and black pepper to taste and serve immediately.
  2. Pair this dish with rice or crusty bread to soak up the delicious sauce.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. For added depth, consider adding a splash of apple cider vinegar with the sauce.
