Method
 

Preparation
  1. Chill the glasses by placing them in the freezer for about 10 minutes.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with crushed ice.
  3. Add 4 ounces of whiskey, 2 ounces of freshly squeezed lemon juice, and 2 ounces of pure maple syrup to the shaker.
  4. Secure the lid on the shaker and shake vigorously for about 15-20 seconds.
  5. Remove the glasses from the freezer and fill each with crushed ice.
  6. Use a strainer to pour the cocktail mixture into each prepared glass.
  7. Garnish with a slice of lemon.
  8. Enjoy immediately for best flavor.
