Mixing
- In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, combine the cream cheese, butter, and molasses. Beat on low speed for about 1 minute until the mixture is smooth and fully combined.
- Gradually add the confectioners sugar, about 1 cup at a time, mixing on low speed until incorporated. This should take a couple of minutes.
- Once all the sugar is added, increase the speed to medium and continue beating for about 2-3 minutes until creamy and spreadable.
Notes
Store the frosting in an airtight container in the fridge for up to a week. For the best texture, allow it to sit at room temperature for about 15 minutes before using.
