Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan with a light coat of butter or line it with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, ensuring each is fully incorporated before adding the next. Then, stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually blend the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture until just combined—do not overmix!
- Fold in the chocolate chips, crushed pretzels, mini marshmallows, and festive candies until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Baking
- Spread the dough evenly in the prepared baking pan, smoothing the top with a spatula.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the edges turn golden brown and the center appears set but still soft.
- Cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Cut into squares and serve.
