Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, mixing until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
  5. Press about two-thirds of the cookie dough into the bottom of the prepared pan to form the base.
  6. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese with the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth.
  7. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cookie base evenly.
  8. Crumble the remaining cookie dough over the cream cheese layer. Sprinkle with candy-coated chocolate eggs and optional colorful sprinkles.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are golden and the center is set.
  10. Allow to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
